Plan to fight corona virus? Pay attention for house you live in

The rapid introduction of corona viruses has endangered the entire human community throughout the world. Although corona virus was first developed during 1937, a recent version of corona virus that originated from Wuhan, China is responsible for an acute respiratory syndrome that is highly fatal. Among humans, corona virus infection occurs mostly during the winter and early springs as the virus finds a precise environment to live and thrive.

The World Health Organization and many research institutes around the world are looking for an action plan to control the spread of the deadly virus. Currently, preventive measures basically focus on avoiding human-to-human transmission. In addition, there is a need to focus on the environment - water, soil, air and man-made surfaces.

Dark and dirty environments serve as a repository of pathogens. If people live in a contaminated environment, they can become infected with the virus. Therefore, to deal with virus outbreaks, it is important to live in a green building. Some of the reasons supporting this idea are:

1) Airlessness and vapor barrier in building walls

Viruses mostly live as living cells in an organism's body. But when they are not inside a host, it is present in the environment as small particles. There is scientific evidence that most pathogens live in dark, cold, dirty environments. Generally, viruses prefer low temperatures, about 4 , and low humidity. Therefore, to prevent them, it is better to stay in the green building. Aeration and vapor barrier in building walls retain moisture and moisture from outside.

2) Low solar heat gain coefficient

Green buildings include a low solar heat gain coefficient that is the amount of solar radiation that enters through the glass and is released as heat inside a building. A low solar heat coefficient ensures that the environment has a moderate temperature that eliminates the growth of pathogens.

3) Open, natural environment

Most infectious diseases, including severe infectious respiratory syndrome that are caused by corona virus, are due to human-to-human contamination. Thus, it is better to live in less crowded areas. Green buildings are usually constructed in open, large spaces, probably in a suburban location, which is very good for the prevention of the disease.

4) Antimicrobial floors and walls

Green buildings have anti-microbial floors and walls that can inhibit microorganisms. There are no seams, welds, or grout lines on these surfaces where fungi and bacteria can potentially irritate and grow. Thus, green buildings promote clean and hygienic conditions.

There are many real estate developers in India who are developing green buildings. By staying in these houses, you can avoid infectious diseases to some extent. These include airtight walls and floors that can improve air quality by eliminating the entry and growth of microbes. And, there are many other benefits of living in green buildings including energy conservation and rainwater harvesting. Also, the building materials in these buildings never harm our environment or harm people in it.

Best Core Schedule for Lockdown

Lockdown has changed the way we live to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Our life has turned about 180-degrees and is no longer the same as it was a few months ago. Staying at home is a blessing and a task for both of them.

We can no longer depend on maids, cooks and other household help to take care of the house; we now need to manage our regular jobs as well as cooking, cleaning, gardening and other household chores. This may seem like too much work at first, but with the right core schedule, you will find life a lot easier.

Divide

The best thing about the lockdown is that everyone is home together. Therefore, you do not have to worry about doing all the chores in your home, you can get everyone in the family to try and help it. You can divide chores based on their age and the amount of time they have left.

Plan right time

It is important to plan your day. If you are working from 9 am to 5 pm, then you need to plan your work before and after it. If your spouse ends at 11 am and works from 8 pm, their working hours will vary, the same goes for children.

Not all cleaning has to be done every day

You can skip some days and do them on alternate days so that you do not have a long list every day. You can do laundry and mopping on alternate days, dusting and sweeping needs to be done daily, watering the plants daily or every other day.

Some work requires group effort

Tasks such as cooking and washing clothes are great for the whole family to do together. While cooking, one bites, one cleans, some prepares, one can set utensils, etc. When it comes to washing clothes, someone can put clothes to wash, someone can dry them, someone can bring them in, and someone can do ironing or folding, and so on.

Create a rotational core calendar

To avoid boredom, it is a good idea to switch things up and give people a chance to do various tasks. In this way, a person is not always stuck with folding cloth or with water plants; they perform different tasks on a daily or weekly basis. It also brings in fairness as no person gets stuck in all the easy or difficult tasks.

Try to reduce the work that needs to be done

If there are not many people around to help, then look for ways to reduce the number of things you have to do. You can plan your meals in advance that way you cook more than before, store it in the fridge and you do not know how to cook for the week. You will have very few dishes for daily washing. You can also pay attention to ways to avoid using unnecessary plates, spoons or other utensils, which way you wash fewer dishes.

Get things done as soon as possible

Schedule tasks so that nothing is pending for a long time. When it comes to dishes, try to wash them as soon as possible, do not let them pile up in the sink. When you are using household items, make sure to place it in the right place as soon as possible. This way your house will look more organized and you will have less work to do at the end of the week.

With all these information, you will be able to create the best core schedule for yourself and your family. You can add and subtract work based on the number of family members, the size of your home and the number of things that need to be done. Remember, be safe and stay at home.

Corona virus Precautions: How to Protect Your House

Basic hygiene is all that is required to keep your house virus free. Corona virus is not air borne but coming into contact with an infected person can affect you and your family. Make sure you follow these simple tips to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in your houses.

What is Corona virus or COVID-19?

To date, 2418592 people have been affected by corona virus (COVID-19) globally. While these are confirmed cases, many are unconfirmed and fear is lurid. If you are looking to protect your family from this disease, then here are some simple remedies that you should follow.

COVID-19 novel ways to prevent corona virus:

Sanitise your house

Deep cleaning of your property every week will limit the amount of germs in the entire house. This is not a costly affair. The house is easy to disinfecting yourself. For example, lemons, baking soda and vinegar can kill germs in the kitchen. It is also safe to use kitchen based products for kitchen cleaning. Use the mixture to clean all counters.

Baking soda can also be sprinkled on the upholstery. You just need to wait for at least half an hour for this. This may be better than chemical spraying. You can use the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) method to deal with pollution and germs in your home. Make a mixture of equal parts water and vodka with a few drops of essential oil. It will serve as a disinfectant as well as deodorizer.

Likewise, essential oils can be used to clean shower curtains, toilet rims, and damp locations. You can scrub these later. Avoid keeping the areas wet, as this is a good environment for germs to thrive. In the bedroom, make sure all linen is thoroughly rinsed in warm water and liquid disinfectant. It is advised that you change bed sheets regularly every week.

Kids room

Children can bring in dirt and germs. When you can't restrict their movement and play all the time, make sure that their room is clean at all times. If your child is using toys, make sure that you appreciate these toys. You can check the washing instructions, to ensure that the soft toys remain in shape even after washing them at home. Other toys can be washed frequently.

Surface cleaning

Ensure that all surfaces - shelves, tables, chairs, racks, switches, decorative artifacts and showpieces - are cleaned at least once a week. If there are sick people at home, then clean up all the places they may have touched. Corona virus is spread by contact with an infected person and while it is not air borne, it is transmitted through body fluids.

Corona virus infection: things that need attention

  • Keep shoes and sandals that you wear outside the house, preferably outside the house, especially if there are small children in the house who can pick them up with their hands. Do not hesitate to ask visitors to take off their shoes when they arrive.
  • Make sure your clothes are washed every day. If germs appear on your clothes, it is advisable not to wear them again until they are washed.
  • Use separate towels at home.
  • Educate your domestic help, driver and other employees about corona virus disease and provide masks and sanitizers to help them. In this way you are ensuring their safety, as well as yours.
  • Avoid exposure to animals and slaughterhouses as corona virus can spread from animals to people.
